James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski found the back of the net as Spurs continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season under Ange Postecoglou with a 2-0 win at Bournemouth.

Maddison bagged his first goal for the club after 17 minutes, making a clever run inside the area in behind the Bournemouth backline to take the ball in his stride and finish past a helpless Neto between the sticks.

The affair was a comfortable outing for Spurs and Kulusevski sealed the deal shortly after the hour mark, latching on to the end of Destiny Udogie’s outstretched cross and slotting home into the far corner to double the lead.

A dominant performance from the travelling side, who look like a brand-new unit under Postecoglou with a newfound sense of attacking prowess and progressive play even without Harry Kane following his departure to Bayern Munich.

According to Premier League betting sites, Tottenham’s odds to make the top four are now 4/1 – the eighth-best, but Spurs fans will fancy their chances and see value in that price after such a promising start to the season.

Spurs have climbed to the top of the table prior to the Saturday 3pm kick-offs with back-to-back wins against Bournemouth and Manchester United.

Postecoglou’s influence on the side looks monumental at an early stage and it could be the beginning of a new era for the north Londoners.

They will turn their attention to upcoming clashes against Burnley and Sheffield United, followed by two tough tests against Arsenal and Liverpool to close out the month of September.
