Liverpool recorded their sixth win in a row as they beat West Ham United 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. Following the big result for Jurgen Klopp’s side, check out the latest Liverpool title odds.

Story Of The Game

Both came into the contest having won in the Europa League on Thursday night, with the managers making multiple changes for the game.

Mohamed Salah converted a penalty to put the Reds 1-0 up after he was brought down by Nayef Aguerd. It was certainly against the run of play as David Moyes’ side started the game strongly.

Jarrod Bowen rewarded West Ham’s hard work as he equalised with a superb header from a Vladimir Coufal cross. The scores were level at 1-1 going into the break.

Darwin Nunez put Liverpool back in front with a fantastic finish as he volleyed beyond Alphonso Areola following an exquisite pass from Alexis Mac Allister.

This goal was the Uruguayan’s sixth goal involvement in his last five matches and it looks like he is finally finding his feet at Anfield.

Diogo Jota then sealed all three points for Klopp’s men as he turned home from close range. He finished after a clever Virgil van Dijk header back across goal.

This win moved Liverpool up to second in the Premier League table and they look almost back to their very best after a sixth victory in a row. At this early stage of the season, the Reds are firmly in contention to challenge Manchester City for the title and it will be interesting to watch when the sides meet in late November.

Klopp’s side are also now on a 17-game unbeaten streak in all competitions, and host Leicester City in the Carabao Cup next on Wednesday night.
