The prestigious award will be presented at Paris’ Theatre du Chatelet on October 30th where Messi will return to the French capital just months after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi struggled to settle in Ligue 1 when joining the French giants after 17 years at Barcelona, but still had a say in proceedings and helped the side clinch consecutive titles with 16 goals and 16 assists.
Eventually leaving Paris in the summer, he joined Inter Miami in the MLS and immediately set the league alight with a string of influential performances.
