Leicester City have seen their Premier League survival hopes boosted this afternoon as they narrowly defeated Wolves 2-1 at the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes came into this one in 19th place on 25 points, just one point clear of Southampton at the bottom of the table.
As if being in the drop zone wasn’t enough, Leicester were dealt a blow ahead of kick-off this afternoon following confirmation that star man James Maddison would miss out due to illness.
This saw Kelechi Iheanacho, Patson Daka and Jamie Vardy all named in the line-up, without their most creative outlet.
It couldn’t have really gone any worse for Leicester from the get-go either. Matheus Cunha opened the scoring for the visitors after just 13 minutes, assisted by Mario Lemina.
Leicester didn’t let this get to their heads however, as they fought back well for the remainder of the first 45.
They were rewarded for this too, with Iheanacho drawing them level after 37 minutes from the penalty spot.
Another blow came for the Foxes at the break as it was confirmed that Vardy had been substituted due to injury.
But they continued to fight in the second-half, and in the 75th minute – they took the lead.
Belgian full-back Timothy Castagne was on-hand to convert the winner handing Leicester their first victory in 11 matches.
