If could be a good day for trainer Paul Nicholls, who has not only won the King George 13 times in the past, but loves having winners in the other races on this card.

While his main UK training rival, Nicky Henderson should also be on the scoresheet at least once, with his classy Constitution Hill a warm order in the Christmas Hurdle.

Kempton Racing Tips: Quickfire Best Bets For All Six Boxing Day Races

  • 12:45 – RUSSIAN RULER
  • 1:20 – HERMES ALLEN
  • 1:55 – CONSTUTION HILL
  • 2:30 – (King George): BRAVEMANSGAME
  • 3:05 – ONETHREEFIVENOTOUT
  • 3:40 – EMAILANDY

12:45 – Ladbrokes Boost Your Odds On Racing Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase (GBB Race) Cl3 (4yo+ 0-135) 2m4½f ITV

SportsLens (Andy Newton) 1-2-3 Kempton Racing Tips: RUSSIAN RULER is taken to carry on the good record in this race for trainer Nicky Henderson. The Seven Barrows man has won the prize six times in the last 19 runnings, including last year. This 6 year-old can be expected to have improved for his return run at Newbury earlier this month, which was also only his first try over fences. He’s also a hurdles winner here at Kempton, plus is expected to improve for the experience and step up in trip having stayed on well that day. While, of the rest, course winners Blow Your Wad and Outlaw Peter are respected along with General Medrano and Idalko Bihoue.

1:20 – Ladbrokes Kauto Star Novices’ Chase (In Memory Of Nigel Clark) (Grade 1) (GBB Race) Cl1 (4yo+) 3m ITV

SportsLens (Andy) 1-2-3 Kempton Racing Tips: The French raider Il Est Francais looks useful and will be popular in the betting. However, it was hard to not be impressed with the debut chase win of HERMES ALLEN at Newbury earlier this month. This Paul Nicholls 6 year-old jumped very well to win by 6 1/2 lengths and looks the sort to improve again now upped to 3m. Giovinco is useful too and chased home the talented Stay Away Fay last time out at Sandown, who is also trained by Nicholls so he should have a steer on that horse. Barring accidents it should be these three fighting it out, with the Nicholls horse getting the nod.

  • HERMES ALLEN
  • Il Est Francis
  • Giovinco

1:55 – Ladbrokes Christmas Hurdle (Grade 1) (GBB Race) Cl1 (4yo+) 2m ITV

SportsLens (Andy Newton) 1-2-3 Kempton Racing Tips: It will be a bigger shock than Santa actually being real (sorry kids) if CONSTITUTION HILL doesn’t win here. The star Nicky Henderson hurdler is rated a massive 26lbs higher than the next best Rubaud and will head here having won all seven starts over hurdles. He was also a 17-length winner of this race last season and it will be all roads to the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival after this. It’s ‘take your pick’ for the places.

  • CONSTITUTION HILL
  • Rubaud
  • Seaux Royal

2:30 – Ladbrokes King George VI Chase (Grade 1) (GBB Race) Cl1 (4yo+) 3m ITV

SportsLens (Andy Newton) 1-2-3 Kempton Racing Tips: You can also see our big race King George trends here, but in a race with just seven runners and many with question marks to answer the call is to stick with last year’s winner – BRAVEMANSGAME. Yes, he’s also got a few questions of his own to answer, having not won a race (4 runs) since taking this 12 months ago. However, has had mini excuses for each of those defeats and the return to Kempton is the big plus – where he’s unbeaten 2-from-2.

Of course, the likely favourite Allaho will be popular too. But after winning last time at Clonmel after 561-days off, you just wonder if the dreaded ‘bounce factor’ will come into play. While this is also his first try at Kempton.

Shishkin also has a top track record (4-from-4) and could the horse overlooked after his ‘refusing to start antics’ last time. While at a price the 2020 Frodon could sneak into the frame if the race falls apart – he was 3rd last year and 4th in 2021 as well. You can see our more detailed King George tips here.

SportsLens (Andy Newton) 1-2-3 Kempton Racing Tips: ONETHREEFIVENOTOUT is another Paul Nicholls runner that ran well (2nd) at Wincanton a few weeks ago to suggest he can go well. Was only beaten a length that day but it was a 15-runner race so had plenty behind too. That also came on heavy ground, so the easier conditions will help and is still learning with just three career runs.

Of the rest, the Harry Derham yard have a decent 43% strike-rate with their hurdlers at the track and they look to have a fair chance of adding to that with Court In The Act. While Gentleman’s Relish, for Nicky Henderson, is sure to be popular too.

SportsLens (Andy Newton) 1-2-3 Kempton Racing Tips: EMAILANDY is the next Paul Nicholls runner that has a live chance – and, no I’m not backing it just because it because of my name. This 5 year-old won well at Plumpton in November and wasn’t disgraced when running third to two useful sorts in Masaccio and Jingko Blue last time at Newbury. He was only beaten 2 lengths at the line after stumbling as the last and the slightly longer trip here will also help. Of the rest CD winners Mark Of Gold and Will Carver won’t be far away, with the last-named trained by Nicky Henderson, who has won two of the last three runnings.
