The first weekend in 2024 sees the ITV Racing schedule for Saturday 6th January cover races at Wincanton and Newcastle – with Sandown having been called off due to a waterlogged track.
ITV Racing Schedule On Saturday 6th January 2024
It’s the first horse racing Saturday in 2024 and we kick-start the New Year with LIVE ITV4 action from Wincanton and now Newcastle too, as Sandown has had to call off their meeting after heavy rain in the Esher area in midweek.
There are four races at both Newcastle and Wincanton to be shown by the ITV4 cameras, with the channel adding Newcastle to its coverage after Sandown was abandoned.
At the Somerset track there are two handicap chases to take in and one handicap hurdle. And with the track being a firm favourite with trainer Paul Nicholls anything the Ditcheat handler sends to post should be respected.
You can see all the key Wincanton horse racing trends and our tips here.
While with the QuinnBet-sponsored card at Newcastle added there will be four live ITV races here that include two handicap chases.
