Arsenal legend Ian Wright has delivered his Premier League title prediction, tipping his beloved Gunners to “go all the way” and win their first league title in almost 20 years.

With just eight games left for Arsenal to play, and nine left for Manchester City – the race for the Premier League title is truly in its final stages.

If City win their game in hand, it will leave them just three points behind the Gunners.

The pair still need to face off against each other at the end of April, in a game that could see Pep Guardiola’s side move level on points with the north Londoners.

After that match, there will be just five games to go to decide the Premier League champions.

One benefit that Arsenal hold over City though, is that they have been eliminated from all cup competitions.

The Citizens remain in both the Champions League and the FA Cup, which could cause a distraction in their bid to retain the league title.

Plenty have offered their opinions on where the silverware will end up, including Gunners legend Ian Wright.

Ian Wright Premier League Prediction

Speaking after Arsenal’s draw with Liverpool, Wright was asked whether he thinks the Gunners can go all the way.

“Yeah, I do believe they [Arsenal] can go all the way, I have to believe that,” Wright said.

“There’s no way I am going to stand here and watch them go through a season where they’ve been absolutely magnificent and say anything negative.

“I believe we can do it, it’s in our hands. Manchester City are a formidable opponent, obviously, we’ve seen what they’re capable of doing and what they have done.

“At the start of the season fourth place was the goal, but we’ve been there so long now [1st], why should you not try and go for it.

“The main thing is, is that everybody is giving everything they can to try and do it, and that’s what I’m seeing from us on a weekly basis, so of course I’m confident we can see it through.”
