The famous Frankie Dettori ‘flying dismount’ is soon to be a celebration of the past as the popular Italian jockey is set to hang up his riding boots at the end of this season.
Therefore, the upcoming 2023 Royal Ascot fixture will be the last one for Frankie so can he go out with a bang at what has become his favourite track over the years. Don’t forget he also rode ALL seven winners at the track back on September 28th 1996, in a non-Royal Ascot fixture.
However, since his first winner in 199o, 52-year-old Dettori as ridden 81 (4 so far in 2023) Royal Ascot winner.
At this year’s meeting – Frankie has won the 2023 Queen’s Vase on Gregory (watch below) and took the Ascot Gold Cup for a ninth time with Courage Mon Ami.
