Best Cheltenham Offers For Day 4
Gordon Elliott With 14 Runners On Cheltenham Day 4
Gordon Elliott has been the top trainer before at both the 2017 & 2018 Cheltenham Festivals. In 2017, he won six races, including three seconds and three third place finishes too. The following year in 2018, Elliott again had a strong year boasting an incredible eight wins, one second and six thirds. The Irish racing trainer will be hoping to replicate this form with a stellar showing at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.
Elliott has 25 winners to his name in the Cheltenham Festival over the years prior to this year. However, he has won just one of the ‘big’ Cheltenham races before. This year, he will be hoping for more with some outstanding horses on show across the four days.
On Day 4, Gordon Elliott has 17 runners on Friday 17th March. These rides include Conflated who runs in the Gold Cup, The Storyteller who contests the Hunters Chase and Piped Piper who features in the County Handicap Hurdle to name but a few.
Elliott also has 14 more runners on Day 4, with various runners in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle, Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle and one runner in the Mares’ Chase too.

The 2016 Gold Cup winner with Don Cossack has a few favourites on Day 4. These include Three Card Brag who is currently the 4/1 favourite for the Albert Bartlett (2.50pm), as well as both Imagine (5/1) and Cool Survivor (11/2) in the Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle as two of the betting favourites.
Do not rule any of Elliott’s 14 Day 4 runners out from at least making it into the each-way places, if not picking up a couple of wins.
The Irish trainer believes his best festival chance came on Thursday with Mighty Potter in the Turners Novices’ Chase, and he wasn’t wrong with the horse winning with ease. However, he also has a few big chances on Day 4 at Cheltenham this year including Three Card Brag, Conflated, The Storyteller Imagine and Cool Survivor.
Elliott is also priced as the 6/1 second favourite with leading bookmaker BoyleSports to be the 2023 Cheltenham Festival Top Trainer.
