FPL Heisenberg Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 33

Kevin De Bruyne

  • Fixture: Luton, Home

Kevin De Bruyne was phenomenal last gameweek away at Crystal Palace, scoring twice and grabbing an assist to boot.

Rotation is always a worry with Manchester City assets, but as De Bruyne was given the night off in the Champions League he should be set to start this weekend in the Premier League.

City will benefit as a team offensively with ‘King Kev’ likely starting. Therefore, I see De Bruyne creating lots of chances for his in-form teammates to finish off, as well as having plenty of chances to score himself – good news for Erling Haaland, assuming he starts too.

Facing a Luton side who are conceding lots of goals, Man City will be looking to build upon their impressive attacking displays of late.

Cole Palmer

  • Fixture: Everton, Home

Cole Palmer has been superb value this season, and he is included in this week’s tips for a second round in a row following his assist against Sheffield United in gameweek 32.

Palmer rarely blanks and he will be full of confidence going into the game against a struggling Everton side.

He has amassed 73 points in his last seven games, which works out as 10.43 points per game.

He’s a great captain choice this week and Chelsea are one of only two teams to have two double gameweeks remaining this season so he’s a long-term hold.

Heung-Min Son

  • Fixture: Newcastle, Away

Newcastle away wouldn’t traditionally be a fixture I’d look to target. However, with the Magpies missing many defenders through injury I’m backing this game to be high scoring, with Spurs exploiting their defensive vulnerabilities.

Listed as a midfielder in FPL – but playing as Spurs’ number nine – Sonny looks primed for more points in gameweek 33. He has 15 goals and nine assists this season and his underlying numbers (expected goals and expected assists) are solid too, meaning his returns should continue to flow, especially as he’s a clinical finisher too.

With Ange’s Spurs playing a free-flowing attacking style of football, it’s likely there will be plenty of goals when Spurs play.

It’s also worth noting that Son is Tottenham’s penalty taker which is another route to points.

FPL Differential Tip – Ivan Toney

  • Fixture: Sheffield United, Home

Ivan Toney has been quiet of late, possibly because he has been managing an injury, resulting in reduced minutes away at Villa last gameweek.

However, I’m backing him to bounce back strongly when he faces bottom of the table Sheffield United this weekend – the team who have conceded the most goals this season.

He’ll be a very nice differential for this game as he’s currently owned by around 9% of FPL managers. He’s also on penalties and he has a solid track record of converting the majority of the ones he’s taken in his career.
