Manchester United face Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon in a vital clash for their Champions League qualification ambitions.

The Red Devils were in a good position to secure qualification for Europe’s premier competition, but a recent dip in form has raised worries for supporters.

United have won just one of their last four league outings, suffering back-to-back defeats to Brighton and West Ham.

They remain in the top four ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, but sit just one point clear of fifth place Liverpool, however Erik ten Hag’s side do have a game in hand.

Ahead of the visit of Julen Lopetegui’s side, ten Hag issued an injury update – confirming that star forward Marcus Rashford is ‘more than doubtful’ for the clash.

Speaking to the press on Friday afternoon, ten Hag confirmed that Raphael Varane is set for his Manchester United return, whilst Rashford is a major doubt.

“He has a problem, an injury on his leg, so he is a big question mark for tomorrow,” ten Hag said in regards to Rashford.

“But we are happy Rapha Varane is back.

“[Rashford] is doubtful, more than doubtful. So [there is] a big question mark.”

In Rashford’s possible absence, it may mark the return of Argentine youngster Alejandro Garnacho – who returned from injury to feature on the bench against West Ham last time out.

“He [Garnacho] has one more week training, definitely,” ten Hag added.

“Yeah, so he is available and we have seen he can bring something extra in the team.”
