Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has claimed that Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo could remain at the club next season following European qualification, despite rumours linking both with a move away from the south coast.
Roberto De Zerbi has revealed that both Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo could remain at Brighton next season following their qualification for Europe.
Just a point from their final two games would see the Seagulls qualify for the Europa League, with the Europa Conference League qualified for at the very minimum.
Their incredible season to secure European football for the first time in their history hasn’t come without its downfalls however.
Several key players have been linked with big money moves away from the Amex, with some of Europe’s elite looking to raid De Zerbi’s squad this summer.
Both Mac Allister and Caicedo have been heavily linked with moves away from the club.
The Argentine has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, whilst Chelsea and Arsenal reportedly hold an avid interest in Caicedo.
But now, following Brighton’s qualification for Europe – the Seagulls’ boss has claimed that the pair could remain on the south coast for next season.

Speaking to Sky Sports, De Zerbi said that the home game against Manchester City could be their final game at the Amex.
“It can be the last game but I don’t know. They can have the possibility to change (clubs) because they deserve to play in another level.
“But now we can offer them the possibility to play in Europe because our level is bigger now. We can offer them one possibility more.”
De Zerbi was then asked if European qualification could sway the pair to stay.
“It can be. They can have more motivation. But they are very good guys.
“When I work, I think for myself, I think for my club but I think still for the players because the players have one career, one life and we can’t decide for them.
“I don’t know what Tony (Bloom, Brighton owner) can decide but if they want to leave, for myself, it’s right they leave.”
