The unraced Tierney is chanced too with the in-form Oisin Murphy riding from stall 5, while recent Doncaster scorer Ziggy’s Dream is another that can go well.

We can take this trend further too as 16 of the last 20 winners were drawn in stalls 1-4, so Michaela’s Boy is worth an interest. This Mick Appleby runner will be better back down to 5f after not seeing out 6f last time at Newcastle. He’s down a pound too and jockey Freddie Larson can also claim another 3lbs. Danger Alert (drawn 5) and Seantrabh (drawn 3) are positioned to go well too.

Therefore, their Savethelastdance, who is already 5/1 for the Epsom Oaks, looks the safest option. She was a tidy winner at Leopardstown last time out on only her second career start and breeding suggests she’ll be even better now upped in trip. Sirona for Mark Johnston and the Frankie Dettori-ridden Luckin Brew can fight it out for the places.

SPORTSLENS 1-2-3 CHESTER ITV RACING TIPS: More Classic clues on show here as the Epsom Derby 16/1 shot Arrest tried to enhance his claims. This John Gosden runner will be looking to give his trainer his first success in this race and having run well (close second) in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud last time out in France (watch below) is setting a high standard back into a Group 3. Aidan O’Brien’s Adelaide River, who was third in that same French race, will also be popular with the yard having another top record in this race (10 wins), while Hadrianus can’t be discounted after running well (2nd) in the Epsom Derby trial last time on his first run on the turf.

SPORTSLENS 1-2-3 CHESTER ITV RACING TIPS: The final ITV racing contest at Chester on Wednesday is a tricky one to unravel with but with 8 of the last 11 winners coming from stalls 4 or higher this is a good stat to note. The same amount also carried 9st 2lbs or less and also finished in the top 5 last time out. With all this in mind, the Tim Easterby yard, who won this in 2014, look to have a chance with Tasever. This 3 year-0ld returned to the track only last week to run a fair second at Beverley and with that also his first run back from being gelded can be expected to improve again. Draw 4 looks ideal and has just 8-4 in weight to carry. Lakota Blue and King’s Crown, who would be an aptly-named winner this month, are others to consider.
