Soon-to-be Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly targeting a move for Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez upon his arrival.
Following talks with co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali, Pochettino has reportedly agreed a three-year contract with the club, with the announcement expected imminently.
Pochettino’s interest in Martinez comes in a report by Football Insider, who claim that the ex-Spurs boss is a “huge fan” of his compatriot.

As previously reported though, Chelsea aren’t the only club interested in the World Cup winner. Manchester United are also believed to be interested, identifying the Serie A ace as a back-up option if they are unable to sign Harry Kane.
The Blues have also been linked with a move for Kane. Not only Kane, but they have also been heavily rumoured to be making a move for Napoli marksman Victor Osimhen.
But due to the Serie A champions’ hefty demands in regards to the Nigerian’s transfer fee, the Blues will now turn their attention to Martinez, who is seen as a more affordable option.

Martinez has enjoyed a stellar season in the Italian top-flight with Inter.
The Bahia Blanca-born striker is the league’s second-highest scorer with 20 goals, scoring 24 in all competitions, as well as assisting 10.
This, of course, comes following his success at international level before the turn of the year, as he featured in six of Argentina’s seven matches as they were crowned World Cup champions in Qatar.
Inter were also crowned Italian Super Cup winners, and they also look set to advance to the Champions League final after defeating city rivals AC Milan 2-0 in the first leg of their semi-final tie.
