Casemiro Set To Miss Arsenal Clash After Reckless Yellow Card

Arsenal will been boosted by the absence of Manchester United midfield maestro Casemiro for their clash this weekend, after the Brazilian picked up a suspension following a reckless yellow card against Crystal Palace.

Everything was going well for Manchester United throughout their game, with the Red Devils holding a slender advantage over Palace thanks to a first half Bruno Fernandes strike.

On the 80th minute mark however, Casemiro was chasing back and pulled down the tricky Wilfried Zaha in a reckless foul that earned the Brazilian a yellow card.

The caution was Casemiro’s fifth of the season in the league and was enough to see the 30-year old suspended for a crucial clash with Arsenal on Sunday, in what was a seriously unprofessional foul from a player with all the experience in the world.

The news only got better for Arsenal fans late on, as Michael Olise smashed a pinpoint free kick into the top right corner to snatch two points off United, leaving Erik Ten Hag’s side third and eight points behind the Gunners going into the weekend.

Casemiro will now miss the huge game against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday, with Scott McTominay or Fred in line to start alongside Christian Eriksen in midfield.
