BT Sport are rebranding and will disappear in July – only to return as TNT Sports, and they want former Sky Sports and current ITV presenter Laura Woods to front the Premier League coverage.
Previous hosts Jake Humphrey and Lynsey Hipgrave will depart BT Sport’s coverage of Premier and Champions League football and according to the Daily Mail, Woods has already held positive talks with TNT Sports.
The channel are reportedly confident of the 35-year-old’s signature, who also presents a breakfast show on talkSPORT alongside work for DAZN and Amazon Prime video on a range of sports, including boxing and NFL.
TNT Sports’ offer includes presenting live matches, but also involvement in other programming.
Woods’ career began at Sky Sports as a runner in 2009, eventually working her way up to editorial assistant before transitioning into production and becoming a presenter for Sky’s football and darts coverage.
She also led ITV‘s coverage of the recent FIFA World Cup in Qatar alongside Ian Wright, Roy Keane and Gary Neville.

Warner Bros Discovery, who also own Eurosport, bought BT Sport and have decided to rename the channel to TNT Sports. In time, Eurosport and TNT Sports will merge to feature football, tennis, rugby and Olympic sport under one roof.
To those in Latin America, TNT Sports will be a familiar name. It is the home of top-level domestic and European football, which will now have a dedicated brand in the UK and Ireland for the 2023/24 season.
After leaving Sky in 2002, the award-winning Woods looks set for a return to presenting Premier League football.
