AIN’T THAT A SHAME @ 10/1 with Paddy Power: Has been backed off the boards over the last 48 hours and it’s easy to see why. Will be ridden by Rachael Blackmore, who rode the Grand National winner in 2021, and hails from the powerful Henry de Bromhead camp too. Blackmore and De Bromhead teamed up to win the famous race two years ago and look to have a similar sort.

This 9 year-old gets in with just 10-5 in weight and has warmed up for this with a nice win at Gowarn Park. Was also second in the Munster National last October and we expect Blackmore to hunt him around and with his featherweight likely to be a big plus in the second half of the race.

ANY SECOND NOW @ 16/1 with Paddy Power: Grand National regular, having run third in 2021 and was runner up in 2022. No spring chicken at 11 and does have a lot of weight (11-12), but his experience in the race will be a huge plus and he’s taken to hit the places again for owner JP McManus.

LONGHOUSE POET @ 25/1 with Paddy Power: Ran 6th in the race 12 months ago and is back for more. Trained in Ireland by Martin Brassil, this 9 year-old is another year older and wiser this time and also has 4lbs less in weight to carry. He comes here in form, having won a Down Royal last month.

Grand National Tips: Our Two Best Outsiders

LIFETIME AMBITION @ 25/1 with Paddy Power: Irish trainer Jessie Harrington is yet to win the National but came close with Magic Of Light in recent years. She’s got a live chance this year though with this 8 year-old that was third behind the Gold Cup winner Galopin Des Champs at Punchestown back in December. Was also 4th in the Grand Sefton over these fences in November so that experience will be a massive plus.

ROI MAGE @ 25/1 with Paddy Power: Another of the older runners in the race at 11 but in recent times we’ve seen horses of this age win the National. Was a close second to Longhouse Poet in at Down Royal the last day and has run well over 3m+ in the past so stamina should be fine. Has only 10-8 to carry and the experienced Felix De Giles gets the leg up in this Irish raider.
