1.51 – Oakman Group Rous Stakes (Listed Race) Cl1 5f ITV
1. KING’S LYNN (e/w) 2. Acklam Express 3. Tis Marvellous
KING’S LYNN (e/w) @ 4/1 with BetUK gets the nod here for the King. This useful sprinter was last seen running down the field in the Platinum Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot back in June. He was only beaten 4 1/2 lengths in that Group One so that was a respectable run and will find this ease into Listed company more to his liking, while he’s also been freshened up with 105 days off. Acklam Express has also been running in better races and the first-time visor is interesting, while last year’s winner Tis Marvellous has to be noted too.

2.25 – Peroni Nastro Azzurro Cumberland Lodge Stakes (Group 3) Cl1 1m4f ITV
1. HAMISH 2. Cresta 3. High Definition
HAMISH @ 11/10 with BetUK ran the new kid on the ‘staying block’ Kyprios to 3/4 of a length in the Irish St Leger last time out and on that form would be the one to beat here. The drop back to 1m4f (from 1m6f) will be fine too and having only had two runs this year will be fresher than more. The 2020 winner Euchen Glen could go well at a price, but isn’t getting any younger, so easy recent Windsor winner Cresta and the Aidan O’Brien entry High Definition look the ones to give the Haggas horse most to think about.
- 18/19 – Finished fourth or better last time out
- 17/19 – Placed favourites
- 16/19 – Aged 3 or 4 years-old
- 16/19 – Had won over 1m4f before
- 15/19 – Returned 7/2 or shorter in the betting
- 14/19 – Ran within the last 6 weeks
- 14/19 – Won at Listed or Group class before

- 12/19 – Had 5 or more runs that season
- 12/19 – Had won 4 or more times before
- 10/19 – Won last time out
- 10/19 – Favourites to win
- 6/19 – Raced at Doncaster last time out
- 1/19 – Filly or mare winners
- 12 of the last 13 winners came from draws 8 or lower
- The average winning SP in the last 10 years is 5/1
- Note: The 2005 renewal was staged at Newmarket

3.00 – John Guest Bengough Stakes (Group 3) Cl1 6f ITV
1. ROHAAN 2. Vadream 3. Commanche Falls
ROHAAN @ 3/1 with BetUK landed the Wokingham Handicap here at Royal Ascot back in June for the second year and looks to have a cracking chance back at the Berkshire track. Last seen running third in the G1 Sprint Cup at Haydock, this David Evans runner does seem to save his best for this venue being 3-from-4 in recent runs here. The consistent Commanche Falls ran another top race in the Ayr Gold Cup (2nd) and can go well upped in grade, while last year’s winner Vadream has been a bit in-and-out this season but could bounce back, especially if the track gets any rain.

3.36 – Peroni Nastro Azzurro Challenge Cup (Heritage Handicap) Cl2 7f ITV
1. BLUE FOR YOU (e/w) 2. Rhoscolyn 3. Silent Film
BLUE FOR YOU (e/w) @ 11/1 with BetUK has had a top season, hitting the top two in his last four races and winning last time at York in a decent handicap. This David O’Meara runner is up 6lbs for that so more needed, but has been freshened up with 44 days off and is still only 4 years old – looks the sort to have more in to come. Another O’Meara entry, Rhoscolyn looks to have a leading chance after running well at Goodwood and Leopardstown recently and connections are helping this time by booking Adam Farragher to take off 5lbs. Silent Film, is another to have on your radar with the useful Harry Davies catching the eye in the saddle and claiming 3lbs.
- 16/19 – Won between 2 and 4 previous races
