Arsenal welcome Spurs to the Emirates this Sunday in the always eventful North London Derby. But who will be playing for each team? Read below for the latest injury updates and a predicted lineup.
Arsenal Team News
The Gunners have been superior in recent NLD’s, beating Spurs twice last season and Mikel Arteta’s side will be confident going into the fixture this Sunday.
Gabriel Martinelli picked up a hamstring injury during a 1-0 victory over Everton last Sunday, meaning he missed the midweek Champions League tie against PSV. The Brazilian is expected to be sidelined for the derby clash but has not been ruled out of the squad completely.
Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber remain on the injury list and will be for the foreseeable future, as they both picked up major knocks in the opening weeks of the campaign.
Leandro Trossard is expected to keep his place in the starting eleven after coming on for Martinelli to score the winner against Everton and finding the target on Wednesday too.
Gabriel Jesus, who has been working his way back into the side following a serious knee injury, is also set to start over Eddie Nketiah – after an impressive display against PSV.
Aaron Ramsdale’s place in the starting eleven looks to be up in the air, as Mikel Arteta starts to introduce David Raya inbetween the sticks.

Tottenham Team News
Spurs were dealt a huge blow this week, as Ivan Perisic was ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ACL injury. The Croatian suffered the knock during training this week and will now miss the rest of the 2023-24 season.
Rodrgio Bentancy, Bryan Gil and Ryan Sessegnon will all miss the huge encounter with long-term injuries and Ange Postecoglou could be without Giovanni Lo Celso.
The Argentinian has suffered a minor thigh injury, which makes him ‘questionable’ for Sunday, however, the midfielder is yet to start a match in the Premier League.
James Maddison is set to keep his place in the starting eleven after an impressive start to his Spurs career and Richarlison could lead the line after scoring his first goal of the season against Sheffield United.

Predicted Spurs lineup: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Richarlison
Players To Watch
Leandro Trossard
The Belgian has scored twice in his last two appearances (all competitions) and could go on a run of games following Gabriel Martinelli’s injury.
Trossard has contributed to 15 goals in 27 matches since signing from Brighton in January (4 goals & 11 assists), meaning he could be key for the Gunners this Sunday.
Pedro Porro has been impressive for Spurs this season, however, the Spaniard is notorious for his attacking prowess and not his defensive capabilities – which could leave Trossard with a chance to capitalise.
James Maddison
The England international has transitioned seamlessly since signing from Leicester this Summer and is now one of the first names on Spurs’ teamsheet.
Contributing to four goals in five matches (2 goals & 2 assists), the 26-year-old has been pivotal in Ange Postecoglou’s success, as Spurs are yet to lose a game this season.
Arsenal’s decision to play with two attacking midfielders, whether it be Odegaard/Havertz or Odegaard/Vieira, meaning Maddison may have more freedom to exploit.
