With the Premier League season heading into its final stretch, AI has predicted which 5 players will finish the season with the most Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points.

AI Predicts Top 5 FPL Points Scorers

Based on various factors such as historical performance, current form, fixture difficulty, and AI-driven projections, AI has pulled together the 5 players it believes will end the Fantasy Premier League season on the most points.

5. Kieran Trippier – Newcastle United – 180 Points

Having started the season in fine form, Kieran Trippier struggled throughout the festive period and made a catalogue of errors which cost the Magpies precious ground in the race for the Top 4.

During the Christmas period, Trippier admitted that his standards had dropped saying: “My standards have dropped, and my own performances have been nowhere near recently.”

However, since this admission, Trippier’s form has greatly improved and now the England international sits top of the assists charts on 10, while also scoring his first goal of the season against Luton on Gameweek 23.

The ex-Spurs full-back currently sits on 107 FPL points, which means 180 points could well be a stretch for the Newcastle United captain.

4. Son Hueng-min – Tottenham Hotspur – 200 Points

Before his season was interrupted by the Asia Cup in January, Son Hueng-min had been electric for Spurs.

The South Korean star, and FPL favourite, has notched 12 times and laid on 6 assists for his Tottenham Hotspur teammates in 22 appearances this season.

As a result, the former Bayer Leverkusen star is currently on 142 FPL points so far this campaign and is therefore well on his way to AI’s prediction of 200.

3. James Maddison – Tottenham Hotspur – 220 Points

Having made the £40m summer switch from Leicester to Spurs, James Maddison hit the ground running at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

After 9 goal contributions in his first 11 appearances for the club (3 goals, 6 assists), Maddison picked up an ankle injury against Chelsea which would rule him out until the end of January.

Since his return, the England international has struggled to hit the heady heights of before his injury, but an assist against Everton earlier in the month has given us a glimpse of what he is capable of.

With the midfielder currently sat on 78 FPL points, reaching 220 would be a monumental effort, but with the Euro’s coming up and his place up for contention, we wouldn’t put it past him.

2. Mohamed Salah – Liverpool – 240 Points

Liverpool‘s Egyptian King is always in and around the top spots in the Fantasy Premier League and this year is no different.

Despite his season being interrupted by the Africa Cup of Nations (and injury) in January, the former Chelsea winger has contributed 15 goals and 9 assists in just 21 Premier League appearances this season.

As a result, Salah currently sits top of the FPL standings with 167 points, just 73 points off of AI’s predicted total of 240 points.

With Liverpool currently top of the Premier League table and Salah back amongst the goals following his injury lay-off, we certainly back him to do it.

1. Erling Haaland –  Manchester City – 270

There are not many people in world football who could go head-to-head with Mohamed Salah in a goalscoring competition and win, but Manchester City‘s Erling Haaland is certainly one of them.

After scoring 36 goals in 35 Premier League appearances last season, the Norwegian once again hit the ground running in this campaign, scoring 14 and assisting 4 in 15 games.

However, the ex-Dortmund striker’s campaign was then interrupted by an injury which saw him miss nearly 2 months of football and 5 Premier League games.

Since his return, Haaland has 4 goal contributions in 5 games which leaves him on a total of 141 FPL points, 129 behind AI’s predicted total.

He may seem superhuman at times and he may be tipped by Betting sites to be the Premier League’s top scorer, but surely that is too big a mountain to climb for the prolific goalscorer.
