A supercomputer has predicted the winners of each Champions League round of 16 clash, as the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City look to progress in the competition.

Supercomputer Predicts UCL RO16 Results
Porto (31%) vs Arsenal (69%)
The Gunners progressed to the round of 16 after topping Group B, pipping PSV, Lens and Sevilla – dropping impressing performances throughout.
Mikel Arteta’s side entered the competition after seven seasons without competing in Europe’s elite division and Arsenal are heavy favourites to go far.
Porto secured a place in the round of 16 on the final matchday of the Champions League group stage, beating Shakhtar 5-3 to finish second in Group H behind Barcelona.
The supercomputer has given Arsenal a 69% chance of beating Porto in the round of 16, leaving Arteta’s men as the favourites to win the match.
Napoli (39%) vs Barcelona (61%)
Napoli finished second in Group C behind Real Madrid and last season’s Serie A champions will face another La Liga giant in Barcelona.
The Spanish side finished top of Group H despite a 3-2 defeat to Royal Antwerp in the final group stage match and the La Liga champions will be looking for their first European trophy since 2015.
The supercomputer has surprisingly place Barcelona as the heavy favourites to reach the quarter finals at 61%, despite Napoli’s increase in performance.
PSG (60%) vs Real Sociedad (40%)
PSG secured a place in the round of 16 in dramatic fashion, as Newcastle suffered a 2-1 defeat to AC Milan on the final day – meaning PSG’s draw with Dortmund was enough.
The French side have failed to put a marker down in the Champions League over the years, losing in their only final appearance in 2020.
Real Sociedad stunned supporters as they finished top of Group D above last season’s finalist’s, Inter Milan, and have been given a 40% chance to progress.
Inter (55%) vs Atletico Madrid (45%)
Atletico Madrid will face Inter in one of the more evenly-matched fixtures for the round of 16 stage – as the Spanish side finished top of Group E.
Diego Simeone’s side proved too strong for Celtic, Lazio and Feyenoord in what was a very entertaining group stage campaign.
Inter will be looking to go a step further than last season and have been tipped by the supercomputer as favourites with 55%.
PSV (40%) vs Borussia Dortmund (60%)
The Dutch side managed to finish second behind Arsenal in Group B and earned a point against the Gunners in Matchday six.
Borussia Dortmund pulled of a tremendous feat by finishing top of Group F, which was dubbed the ‘group of death’ with PSG, Newcastle and AC Milan.
The supercomputer has been hard at work predicting the match and has given Borussia Dortmund a 60% chance of beating PSV to the quarter finals.
Lazio (13%) vs Bayern Munich (87%)
The Bundesliga side topped Group A in tremendous fashion, winning five and drawing once from the six group stage matches.
Bayern pulled off a Champions League double over Manchester United and proved too strong for Copenhagen/Galatasaray.
Lazio finished second in Group E behind Atletico Madrid, despite scoring just seven goals throughout the group stage campaign.
At 87%, the supercomputer has made Bayern Munich the clear favourites to progress against Lazio and continue their path to Champions League glory.
Copenhagen (3%) vs Manchester City (97%)
In one of the biggest landslides, the supercomputer has given Manchester City a 97% chance of beating Copenhagen in the round of 16.
Pep Guardiola’s side won every match in the Champions League group stage, picking up 18 points from six matches and scored 18 goals in the process.
Their Danish opponents stunned the world by finished second in Group A, ranking higher than the likes of Galatasaray and Manchester United.
RB Leipzig (26%) vs Real Madrid (74%)
Real Madrid will be looking to win their 15th Champions League this season and have started the campaign superbly – winning every group stage match.
RB Leipzig finished second in Group G, behind Manchester City and will face a huge task in the round of 16 against Real Madrid.
At 26%, the supercomputer has given the Bundesliga side a slim chance of progressing to the quarter finals, as Los Blancos are heavy favourites.
