The King George VI Chase is a Grade 1 steeplechase typically ran on Boxing Day at Kempton Park over 3miles with 18 fences set to be jumped and it has been running since 1937.
Kempton’s feature race at their Christmas meeting is now the second most valuable chase in England, and only the Cheltenham Gold Cup is above it.

The 61-year-old saw his best success in this race with Kauto Star who won the race in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011 and the iconic horse also has a race and a stand named after him at Kempton.
