England captain Harry Kane has warned that the Three Lions will have unfinished business at Euro 2028, after it was announced that his home country would host the competition in five years.
Harry Kane Out For Revenge
It was just two years ago that England fans were left heartbroken after the Euro 2021 final, as Italy scraped past England on penalties at Wembley Stadium in London.
England captain Harry Kane certainly hasn’t forgotten about the disappointing final, with the Bayern star eager to redeem himself and his country in five years time when England host the tournament.
When asked if he has unfinished business in the competition, Kane replied: “I think so, we were so close to doing something really magical in the last Euros.
“That’s football, it didn’t end the way we wanted it to but for sure there will be a bit between our teeth. Not just in Germany next summer but being at home, playing games at Wembley will bring back memories of the 2021 Euros.
“We will have to wait and see, to win a tournament would be special but to win it in your home country would be a dream come true.”
It was just announced that the UK and Ireland would host Euro 2028, with the final again being played at Wembley in a repeat of the 2021 competition.

The first game of Euro 2028 will be played in Cardiff, with huge stadiums such as St James’ Park, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Villa Park plus many more.
“It is amazing. We have got some of the best stadiums in the world without a doubt. The fans, everyone getting behind it, when we do tournaments here, maybe because we’re English and we’re biased there is just that special feeling behind it.
“We should be proud of the country that we have got the bid, it is massive not just for us but for future generations, being young, watching tournaments in your home country can make a big impact in your life.”
Harry Kane will be 35 when Euro 2028 rolls around, so it will be interesting to see if the current captain is still involved with the Three Lions when the tournament comes in five years.
