Ange Postecoglou is leading a cultural revolution at Tottenham Hotspur and the north Londoners continued their unbeaten start to the season away at Burnley.

The visitors were shocked inside the opening five minutes when Lyle Foster found the back of the net but their lead was cancelled out after 15 minutes as Heung-min Son bagged his first goal of the season.

Cristian Romero’s super strike put Spurs in front in first half stoppage time and James Maddison added a third ten minutes after the restart, before Son added two in quick succession to complete a wonderful hat-trick at Turf Moor.

Josh Brownhill claimed a consolation in the dying embers to make it 5-2, marking another fantastic outing for Postecoglou’s side who bounced back in style from exiting the EFL Cup in the second round to Fulham in midweek.

Tottenham are bidding to return to the Champions League next season and are on course to do so, with Premier League betting sites handing them a 3/1 chance to finish in the top four.

A five-star display in Burnley lifts Spurs to second in the table, just two points adrift Manchester City at the top who extended their lead with a 5-1 win over Fulham and level on points with West Ham after four games.

Despite the departure of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, Tottenham look to be getting on just fine and Postecoglou has breathed a new life into the club which has struggled with stagnant progress and underachievement in recent history.

Next up for the high-flyers is a clash at home against newly-promoted and winless Sheffield United, followed by a pair of tougher tests in the form of a north London derby at the Emirates before facing Liverpool.
