Liverpool will go into the 2023-24 campaign as a Europa League side for the first time in over five seasons. We have taken a look at their confirmed squad following a disappointing year for the Reds.

The 2022-23 campaign was a disappointing time for those involved with Liverpool, as the Reds failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Poor performances at the start of the year were enough to dampen any chance of UCL football, however, after a shift in tactics, the climax to the campaign was far more enjoyable for supporters.

This summer has seen a host of additions and exits, with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, replacing long-time servants, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.

So, with that in mind, we have taken a look at Liverpool’s confirmed squad for the upcoming season.

Ones To Watch

Darwin Nunez:

Injuries and mixed performances meant that the Uruguayan failed to cement a place in Liverpool’s starting side, however, Nunez did manage to contribute with 14 goals.

This season could be the year of Darwin Nunez, after the young striker’s stellar form in pre-season and the departure of Roberto Firmino.

Curtis Jones:

The academy graduate will have a big part to play this season, as the Reds are lacking in midfield options. Romeo Lavia has been targeted by the club, however, after three failed bids, his move to Anfield may have to wait another seaspn.

Jones played a huge part in Liverpool’s side last season, even scoring a double away to Leicester towards the latter stage of the campaign.
