Free agent goalkeeper David de Gea looks set for a move to the Saudi Pro League after his contract expiration with Manchester United, but a return to La Liga remains on the table for the Spaniard.

After 12 years at Manchester United where he won the Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup and two League Cups, de Gea is set for a new challenge outside of England and it appears Saudi Arabia is his most likely destination.

Despite winning the Golden Glove last season, de Gea proved to be more of a liability than an asset to Erik ten Hag’s side which has led to the club pursuing a move for Inter Milan’s Andre Onana – expected to be confirmed shortly.

The 32-year-old won the club’s Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award four times, the joint-most alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, and was widely regarded as the best shot-stopper on the planet for a chunk of his career at Old Trafford.

The Spaniard is 12/1 to follow in the footsteps of Lionel Messi and join the MLS, and the same price to replace Andre Onana at Inter Milan or move to either of Bayern Munich and PSG.
