This unbeaten daughter of Harry Angel has certainly hit the ground running for the Johnny Murtagh camp – winning at Gowran Park and Navan. The last of those was over a mile, which she tackles again here and has also won with a bit of give underfoot so any more of the ‘wet stuff’ at the track is also fine.

Of course, another step up here is needed, but the form of her last win has been boosted with the second Cigamia and fourth Giladah running well in stakes company since. Jamie Spencer rides.

Fresh won this race last year and is back for more on just a 3lb higher mark. He loves the Ascot track – winning twice here last term and was a fair 5th in the Wokingham here last time out (beaten only 2 lengths). That also came over 6f, but the return to 7f here is a big plus as he didn’t get the best of runs the last day either but still finished off the race very well.

Softer ground is fine and with three runs this year now will be cherry-ripe for his title defence.
