Liverpool have made Southampton star Romeo Lavia a top priority signing this summer, as the Reds look to completely reshape their midfield after a difficult season.

It is no secret that Liverpool struggled in the Premier League last season and the Reds just missed out on Champions League football for this year after finishing behind Newcastle in fifth place.

Following the tough season, Liverpool have wasted no time in bringing new players to Anfield in an attempt to reshape the squad that was so bellow usual standards last year.

Jurgen Klopp has already signed high profile midfield targets Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, but the Liverpool boss hasn’t finished yet.

The Reds are reportedly keen on bringing Southampton’s Romeo Lavia in next season amid interest from Premier League rivals such as Arsenal and Chelsea.

It is no surprise that some of the Premier League’s elite are after Lavia this summer, after the 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season despite his sides relegation to the Championship.

Lavia played 29 games of Southampton in the league last year and despite finishing bottom of the table, the midfielder earned plenty of praise throughout the season which has made him a top target for Europe’s elite this summer.
