Tottenham Hotspur are still in negotiations with Juventus over the permanent signing of Dejan Kulusevski, with Newcastle United ready to pounce if Spurs do not agree a deal.
The 23-year-old winger has been on loan at Spurs for the last 18 months and there was a clause in the deal that would make it permanent for £31m if they qualified for the Champions League.
However, despite missing out on the top four with no European football next season, Kulusevski is keen to stay in the capital. Spurs are continuing talks with all parties, but nothing has been agreed yet.

It’s reported that if Ange Postecoglou’s side don’t strike the deal, Newcastle will be offered the chance to sign him.
Kulusevski did not have the best season last term, but impressed in his first six months at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He netted five goals in his first 18 Premier League games in the back half of the 2021/22 campaign, but this season has scored just twice in 30 appearances.
However there are reports Spurs are also trying to land a double swoop for Leicester City duo James Maddison and Harvey Barnes. So, should the Kulusevski deal fall through.
Postecoglou is hoping to rebuild the side in his image over the next few weeks with plenty of business yet to be done.
The Aussie joined the club earlier this month after two impressive seasons in the Scottish Premier League with Celtic.
