In the latest Arsenal transfer news, the Gunners have reportedly set their asking price for Folarin Balogun as AC Milan make the forward their priority for the summer.

According to reports, Arsenal have set their asking price for American youngster Folarin Balogun, with several European club interested.

The youngster is currently out on loan at Ligue 1 side Reims, but it is believed that he doesn’t want another season out on loan.

With earning a starting spot for the Gunners looking unlikely, his exit seems to be edging closer as each day passes.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato have reported that AC Milan have made the 21-year-old their priority ahead of the summer transfer window as they search for a new striker.

It is also reported that the Gunners value their Hale End product at around £26m – a seemingly fair estimation of a striker who has 20 goals in the French top flight this season.

Balogun isn’t only drawing interest from Milan either. Italian media have reported that Marseille and RB Leipzig also hold an interest in signing him.

This news comes less than a week after it was announces that Balogun’s one-time switch had been approved by FIFA. This will now see him represent the USA internationally rather than England.

In terms of appearances for the Gunners, Balogun has made just 10.

Half of those appearances came in the Europa League, with just two coming in the Premier League.

His season in France though, has been nothing short of incredible.

In Reims’ most recent clash against Angers, he notched his 20th league goal of the campaign – seeing him become the first American to score 20+ in a season in Europe’s top five leagues.
