SPORTSLENS 1-2-3 CHESTER ITV RACING TIPS: ALL of the last 14 winners came from stalls 7 or lower. With this in mind, the Andrew Balding-trained Nymphadora, from stall 3, looks interesting. She would have needed the run the last day at Bath when down the field, but that also came in a Listed race, so this ease back into a handicap will help. Oisin Murphy riding is the icing on the cake. 4 and 5 year-olds also have a fair recent record in this race, so Navello and Night On Earth are others to note.

The Charlie Johnston runner Urban Sprawl ticks all these stats and returned to the track with a fine second at Musselburgh last month. Surely Not, with William Buick riding and the likely favourite Vetiver should be in the mix too.

SPORTSLENS 1-2-3 CHESTER ITV RACING TIPS: The Donnacha O’Brien runner Alder sets a fair standard here, but it’s hard to fault the record of his dad Aidan in this race – he’s won 6 of the last 9 runnings. He’ll be trying to better that record with San Antonio, who could be anything after an easy maiden win at Dundalk at the end of March. With Ryan Moore riding this 40/1 Epsom Derby hope is chanced. Passenger, who won well on debut for the Stoute team, and Godolphin’s Local Destiny look best of the rest.

SPORTSLENS 1-2-3 CHESTER ITV RACING TIPS: Hamish won this race last year and will be popular to follow up. But this Haggas runner isn’t getting any younger at 7 and he’s taken on with Changingoftheguard. This Aidan O’Brien runner landed the Chester Vase at this fixture last season, so we know the track is fine and went onto run 5th in the Epsom Derby. He’s gone well fresh in the past, therefore the lay-off isn’t a worry and Ryan Moore, who has a top record in this race, rides. The second top-rated in the field – the Ian Williams runner Enemy can also go well.

3:45 – TMT Group Handicap Cl3 (4yo+ 0-90) 1m2½f ITV4
SPORTSLENS 1-2-3 CHESTER ITV RACING TIPS: Being drawn in stall 5 or higher and also having between 8-11 and 9-3 in weight are big trends in this final ITV4 race. The Richard Hannon runner Thunder Max ticks both boxes from stall 9 and just 8-13 to carry. He was a fair 4th last time out at Haydock and with that coming off a year out can strip fitter this time. The consistent pair of City Streak and Tudor also look to have a fair bit going for them.
