In the latest Arsenal transfer news, Brighton are reportedly confident of tying down Kaoru Mitoma with a new contract despite the Gunners holding an interest in the winger.

Brighton are increasingly confident of tying down Japanese winger Kaoru Mitoma to a new contract, per Football Insider.
The report states that the 25-year-old will put pen-to-paper on a new long-term deal with improved terms.
Despite interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, Mitoma is said to be very happy at the Amex. Brighton are said to be very eager to ensure the winger remains on the south coast.
With Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo likely to depart in the summer, the Seagulls are unlikely to allow a third star to leave the club.
Mitoma reportedly earns around £10,000 a week with his current deal, which is set to expire in 2025.
After spending last term on loan at Belgian side Royal Union Saint-Gilloise, Mitoma returned to England for this season and has impressed massively.

In all competitions, the Japan international has made 33 appearances, notching 10 goals and seven assists in the process.
He has scored some vital goals for the Seagulls this term too, even scoring against Arsenal earlier on in the season.
Perhaps his most memorable goal of the campaign came in the form of a late winner in the FA Cup to send Liverpool crashing out of the competition.

His efforts, alongside his teammates, have put Brighton in a good position to gain European football next season.
As well as Mitoma, the breakthrough campaigns of Caicedo and Evan Ferguson have contributed to a stunning campaign for Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
