Nick Luck 1-2-3-4-5-6 Tips At Aintree For The 2023 Grand National
Any Second Now to PLACE @ 9/4 to WIN @ 14/1
Racing TV presenter Nick Luck fancies Any Second Now for the Walsh yard to triumph and win the Grand National at the third time of asking. He carries top weight but his last two efforts in the National have been truly heroic. Luck likes the form Any Second Now comes to Aintree in and believes he has had the perfect preparation.
Luck is expecting another almighty performance from the Ted Walsh-trained Any Second Now.
Capodanno to PLACE @ 3/1 to WIN @ 20/1
Nick Luck believes Capodanno will finish as the 2023 Grand National runner-up behind Any Second Now for legendary trainer Willie Mullins with Danny Mullins in the saddle.
His credentials defy convention, but Luck feels there are fewer National norms these days and is backing him to have a strong National later this afternoon.
Gaillard Du Mesnil to PLACE @ 11/8 to WIN @ 9/1
Luck is predicting another Mullins-trained horse to finish in third pace in the form of Gaillard Du Mesnil. The 7-year-old is a genuine Grand 1 horse with a competitive mark and an abundance of stamina. He jumps very soundly and is Paul Townend’s choice. Should go really well despite being inexperienced.
Longhouse Poet to PLACE @ 7/2 to WIN @ 22/1
Longhouse Poet impressed everyone in last year’s National when finishing fourth, including Nick Luck. He travelled superbly 12 months ago and there are plenty of good reason to think he can produce a similar run this afternoon and expend his energy more evenly this time around.
Delta Work to PLACE @ 11/8 to WIN @ 9/1
Nick Luck is predicting a fifth place finish for last year’s third Delta Work. The 10-year-old warmed to the task last year, but has been much more specifically targeted this time. He did of course win the Cross Country at Cheltenham last month with a stack in hand, but Luck thinks he’ll miss out again this afternoon.
Fortescue to PLACE @ 20/1 to WIN @ 100/1
Nick Luck’s sixth and final predication for the 2023 Grand National is that 100/1 shot Fortescue will run an almighty race and make it into the each-way places at Aintree this year.
Luck believes the Henry Daly-trained 9-year-old makes some appeal, particularly if a little more rain falls and ground gets that bit softer. Massive outsider but priced at tempting 100/1 Grand National odds.
