Just failed to get up in the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase last time out at Cheltenham, but over this slightly long trip can get back to winning ways.

• 2.20pm The William Hill Handicap Hurdle Premier Handicap (Class 1) Grade 3 2m 4f ITV: CAMPROND

Travelled well into the Coral Cup last time at Cheltenham, but just got run out of things into third that day. The drop back a tad in trip will help and on that running should be going close here.

• 2.55pm The Top Novices’ Hurdle (Class 1) Grade 1 2m ½f ITV: INTHEPOCKET

An excellent 4th in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival last time out and that looks the best form coming into this race.

• 3.30pm The Marsh Steeple Chase (Registered as the Melling) (Grade 1) 2m 4f ITV: FAKIR D’OUDAIRIES (NB)

Has won the last two runnings of this race and it’s hard to think he’s still only an 8 year-old. Missed the Cheltenham Festival to be fresh for this and should be hard to beat again in his bid for a famous Aintree three-timer.

• 4.05pm The Randox Supports Race Against Dementia Topham Chase (Premier Handicap) 2m 5f ITV: AL DANCER (NAP)

Won the Grand Sefton Chase over these Grand National fences earlier this season so that experience will be a big plus here over them again. Is up just 5lbs for that win and Charlie Deutsch, who rode that day, remains in the saddle.

• 4.40pm The Cavani Menswear Sefton Novices’ Hurdle (Class 1) Grade 1 3m ½f ITV: ABSOLUTE NOTIONS

Second at Leopardstown last time out to the useful Good Land and before that was third to Inthepocket. Lightly raced with just three runs over hurdles so more in the locker to come from this Gordon Elliott runner.

• 5.15pm The Abersoch Land and Sea Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) (Conditional & Amateur Jockeys) 2m ½f: KICKERBOCKERGLORY

Last seen running a fine second in the Imperial Cup at Sandown. Freshened up by missing Cheltenham and is only a pound higher this time. The useful Tristan Durrell is also riding this time in this amateur/conditionals riders’ race and he can claim 5lbs off the saddle.
