Inter Milan will reportedly allow Nicolo Barella to leave the club this summer, with the midfielder being of interest to Chelsea and Liverpool.

In a report from Italian outlet Calciomercato, it is said that Inter will allow the 26-year-old to depart for around £44 million.

Barella has been with the club for almost four years now. However, he could now be on the move after becoming one of the most highly rated midfielders in the Serie A.

The report from Italy confirmed that Inter would allow the midfielder to leave for no less than 50 million euros.

Strong interest from the Premier League is said to be landing at the feet of the player – most notably from Chelsea and Liverpool.

Both clubs are looking to secure midfield reinforcements this summer.

Despite splashing the cash on Argentine star Enzo Fernandez in January, Chelsea are said to be wanting more options in midfield.

Jorginho departed Stamford Bridge in January, and N’Golo Kante could be on the way out in the summer with his contract coming to an end.

Liverpool look set for a major overhaul in their squad, with the midfield being the most notable area of interest.

They have been strongly linked with a move for English youngster Jude Bellingham, but with competition from some of Europe’s elite clubs – it’s a move that looks unlikely.

A move for Barella may be a more realistic option for the pair this summer with, likely, no Champions League football being available to offer.
