Which Horses Have Been Backed The Most To Win The Grand National So Far?

Corach Rambler – 11/2

Lucinda Russell’s Corach Rambler is the current 11/2 favourite in Grand National betting. The nine-year-old has attracted plenty of attention from punters, after brilliantly winning the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival for the second year in a row.

Winning by just a neck in a sensational race, jockey Derek Fox was brilliant in the saddle, and timed his ride to perfection. Being held up in mid-division approaching the fourth last fence, Fox chose the right time to turn up the heat as the pair turned for home. Corach Rambler found a late gear to power his way through Fastorslow and Monbeg Genius to win the race in fine fashion.

Russell has tasted Aintree glory before, with Fox winning the Grand National with One For Arthur back in 2017 – who sadly died recently.

Corach Rambler has been backed in more than 8% of Grand National bet slips since the start of the jump season in October.

Noble Yeats – 8/1

Defending champion Noble Yeats will head to Aintree looking to repeat his fairytale win from last year when he heads to the Grand National this time around.

Going off at 50/1 SP as a big outsider, nobody expected the Emmet Mullins trained horse to win. However, he did exactly that, winning in sensational fashion by more than two lengths. It was also a special moment for jockey Sam Waley-Cohen, who concluded his riding career with success in the Grand National.

In his most recent run in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, he done well to eventually finish fourth after romping home with some speed. Since jockey Sean Bowen was in the saddle on Noble Yeats, he has won two out of four runs, winning his first two and losing the next two.

Despite an underwhelming last couple of races, Noble Yeats has still received plenty of backing ahead of this year’s Grand National. 5.5% of punters have backed Noble Yeats for consecutive Grand National success since the start of the season.

Delta Work – 10/1

The Gordon Elliot trained legend Delta Work will go the Grand National trying to better last year’s third place finish, behind Noble Yeats and Any Second Now. He’s one of the most backed Grand National horses for a reason!

At 10-years-old, the horse comes into the race off the back of winning the Cross Country at Cheltenham for the second year in a row, beating stablemate Galvin in an enthralling contest.

Also, things do work in favour for Delta Work in this race. Last year’s winner Noble Yeats is bumped up in weights, with Delta Work remaining around the same. Delta Work gave Noble Yeats 13lbs – but this time around, Noble Yeats is giving Delta Work 7lbs, meaning a 20lbs weight swing in favour of the 10-year-old.

5.3% of Grand National bet slips so far have included Delta Work.

Mr Incredible – 12/1

The Willie Mullins trained Mr Incredible has received its fair share of backing ahead of the Grand National, despite Mullins going 18 years without a win in the one of the biggest races in all of horse racing.

He may have had more winners at this year’s Cheltenham Festival once again, however will bid to break the Grand National curse this time around. His last National winner came in 2005, where Hedgehunter stormed home to win at Aintree.

The seven-year-old is Mullins’ leading chance at 12/1 and is preferred by punters to stablemate Gaillard Du Mesnil amongst others.

Could he land an INCREDIBLE win at Aintree? 4.1% of punters seem to think he can.

Le Milos – 16/1

Le Milos is one of  Dan Skelton’s big players at this year’s Grand National, and landed the Coral Gold Cup earlier on in the season at Newbury. Since then, he’s had plenty of backing for the Aintree classic.

He did lose his unbeaten record under the Skelton’s last time out at Kelso, however still seems popular amongst punters. He’ll head to the Grand National as one of the leading British hopes, looking to end the recent Irish domination of the great race.

Over 3.6% of bettors have backed Le Milos for Grand National glory!
