Appreciate It the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle in 2021 and Kevin Blake is backing this Willie Mullins runner to win at the Festival again – this time over fences. He goes in the day three opener – the Turners’ Chase – the race the current Gold Cup favourite Galopin Des Champs fell at the last in 12 months ago. He was last seen running third in the Irish Arkle, but the form of that race has been franked at the Festival, with the winner El Fabiolo winning the Arkle Tuesday. The longer trip here (2m4f) is also expected to suit and he’s taken to end the unbeaten chase record of Mighty Potter. Paul Townend rides.
MAGICAL ZOE in the 4:50 Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle @ 10/1 with bet365
The Henry De Bromhead yard won this race in 2021 and they’ve love to land the prize again with the race being run in Henry’s son Jack’s honour this year. They will be trying to grab the magical win, with the Magical Zoe, who comes here unbeaten from three. She was last seen winning at Down Royal in November so has been kept fresh for this and that in itself is significant. Adrian Heskin takes the ride.
