Liverpool are the outright favourites to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund ahead of Real Madrid and Manchester City if the Englishman decides to leave Germany this summer.
Bellingham’s Dortmund were knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Kai Havertz.
The defeat could act as a potential turning point in the 19-year-old’s young career. Dortmund have not won a Bundesliga title since 2012 and most of the club’s top talents over the years have been sold to major sides across Europe.
Examples include Ousmane Dembele, Jadon Sancho, Christian Pulisic, Erling Haaland, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ilkay Gundogan, Mario Gotze and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The former Birmingham City midfielder is at the centre of one of football’s biggest sweepstakes ahead of an expiring contract in 2025.

How Would Jude Bellingham Fit At Liverpool?
Liverpool fans are convinced that Bellingham is a red and so are the bookies, but how exactly would the young star fit into Jurgen Klopp’s midfield?
Recently, Klopp has started with a midfield three featuring a trio of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Harvey Elliott and Stefan Bajcetic.
The long-term plan at Anfield is likely for Bellingham to replace Henderson and allow the 32-year-old captain to take a backseat at the club as Liverpool fight to rejoin Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United at the top of the table.
Bellingham is known to be a fan of Reds legend Steven Gerrard and when asked if he could swap shirts with any player in the sport’s history, he replied:
“Stevie G, easily to be fair. In fact, no it is not easy, I think him or [Wayne] Rooney are definitely close. But I think them two by quite a way.
“But I think I would go Gerrard, though just because the No.8 [shirt], similar position to me, so yeah, I would probably go with him.
“I love Stevie G to be fair.”
