Former Liverpool striker Luis Garcia has predicted that Newcastle United will win this weekend’s Carabao Cup final, and has claimed Manchester United will finish the season without a trophy – despite still being in four competitions.

Manchester United take on Newcastle United in front of a near packed-out Wembley this afternoon as they battle it out in the Carabao Cup Final.
It is one of four competitions that the Red Devils still remain in. United secured a monumental victory over Barcelona in the Europa League last 32 on Thursday night to remain in the hunt for European glory this season.
The red side of Manchester have been in sensational form of late, with talisman Marcus Rashford firing on all cylinders right now. The England international passed a late fitness test and starts this afternoon at Wembley for the Carabao Cup Final against Newcastle United.

Erik ten Hag’s side will face another Spanish team in the last-16, after drawing fifth-place La Liga side Real Betis this morning.
United haven’t won a major honour since their Europa League triumph under Jose Mourinho way back in 2017. Many fans believe that this season is as good of an opportunity as they can get to earn some silverware.
Former Red Devils midfielder Paul Scholes even said that United could go on to win the quadruple of the Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
Of course, the likelyhood of this happening is very slim. However, it cannot be denied that Manchester United are riding on the crest of the wave at the moment and are in with a shout of winning multiple trophies this season under Erik ten Hag.

Having already secured their place in the final, ten Hag’s best chance at silverware will come this Sunday against the Magpies.
One person who is backing Newcastle to win however, is former Liverpool forward Luis Garcia.
Garcia’s Comments
Speaking to ESPN FC, Garcia was asked how many of the four titles available to them will Manchester United win – to which he responded:
“I think none, at the end it is not going to happen.
“There are a lot of expectations and to be honest, what they have got in front there is a lot of pressure.” he continued.
“In the last part of the season, they have got so many things that at the end sometimes when you swim and swim and swim, you die when you arrive at the coast.
“At the end, they are not going to get any trophies.”
