Check out the Willie Mullins Net Worth and everything you need to know about one of horse racing’s most well known trainers. Read on to find out more about the 17-time Champion Trainer.
Willie Mullins One Of Most Decorated Handlers
Mullins started training his own horses in 1988 after previously working as an assistant to his father Paddy Mullins and Jim Bolger, but his involvement with the sport goes back way further than that.
He is a former six-time Amateur Champion Jockey in Ireland with some of his notable victories being the Fox Hunters’ Chase at Aintree (1983) and Champion Bumper at Cheltenham (1996).
As a trainer, Mullins has won just about all there is to win in Ireland and has also enjoyed plenty of success over in England and France. He’s won the Grand National, the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the King George Chase, the Champion Hurdle in three countries and plenty more.
Mullins is also the most successful trainer in the history of the Cheltenham Festival, with 94 winners and you can find all of his winners at the iconic meeting further down the page.
Despite the years upon years of success in the game, 2022/2023 was a record breaking season for Mullins, and he trained 237 winners from 831 runners in total. Galopin Des Champs was one of his stars of last season, winning the Gold Cup on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival (see below).
With plenty of his horses in training with the 67-year-old owned by JP McManus, winners are never too far away for the Closutton man.
