Premier League leaders Liverpool are back in action on Wednesday night as they take on relegation-threatened Luton Town at Anfield.
Injuries are starting to hamper Jurgen Klopp’s side and their most recent victory at Brentford could prove very costly come the end of the season.
The Reds are going strong in four competitions but the hectic schedule they now face in the Premier League could wreak havoc to their quadruple chances.
Their double-header on match week 25 should see the Merseysiders increase their lead at the top of England’s elite division.
Why Is Liverpool Vs Luton Not On TV?
Eagle-eyed supporters will have noticed two things ahead of Liverpool vs Luton. The first, is that it is being played on a Wednesday night.
The second – and more notably – is that the fixture will not be broadcast on live television. The reasons for this stem from two factors.
The game was originally scheduled for match week 26 at 3pm. The Saturday match was brought forward owing to the Reds participation in the EFL Cup final.
Therefore, the reason it won’t be shown live is that the Premier League enforce a blackout on re-arranged fixtures from Saturday’s traditional 3pm starts.
The ruling is perhaps not known by many. Nonetheless, fans of both sides will still be frustrated that they won’t be able to watch Liverpool vs Luton live on TV.

Liverpool Fixtures
Liverpool are scheduled to play eight games between February 21 and March 17. Of these games, they will be participating in four different competitions.
The Reds will face Premier League fixtures against Luton, Nottingham Forest, Manchester City and city rivals Everton. They face Chelsea in the EFL Cup final and Southampton in the FA Cup.
Lastly, they will face an unseeded team in the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League. The first-leg is pencilled in for March 7 and the return leg seven days later.
The hugely congested fixture pile-up will certainly test the Reds and Jurgen Klopp’s resolve. Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson are all likely to still be sidelined.
Mo Salah is back up-and-running and Dominik Szoboszlai will be fit for the majority of these games. Alisson is also expected to return as well.
