Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Tottenham‘s Harry Kane are tied for the most Premier League Player of the Month awards with seven.

February’s winner Marcus Rashford is amongst elite company with four awards, his third of the 2022/23 season. The 25-year-old also took it home last month and in September, but the maiden award came in January 2019.

Sergio Aguero has retired, meaning that if Harry Kane wins another he will take the outright lead with eight awards. Kane is in fine form this season, scoring 18 goals and trailing Erling Haaland by nine in the Golden Boot race.

Historic month for Manchester United ends in double success for player and manager

Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag was also named Premier League Manager of the Month for February, his second of the season after winning in September.

Manchester United have won both awards in the same month twice in a single season for the first time since 2007/08 – guess who?

Sir Alex Ferguson and Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo won three consecutive Premier League titles with United in 2007, 2008 and 2009, potentially foreshadowing what could lie ahead for Rashford and ten Hag.

According to Premier League betting sites, United are 40/1 to win the title. Arsenal (10/11) and Manchester City (1/1) are the runaway favourites at this stage, but just five points separate the pair in the table.
