Teenage darts sensation Luke Littler has already hit the headlines many times during this year’s PDC Darts World Championship. However, after dumping out the 2018 champ Rob Cross in the semi-final he’s now set up to grab the biggest story in the history of the sport – should be beat Luke Humphries in Wednesday night’s final.
Who Are The Youngest Darts World Champions and Major PDC Tournament Winners?
With Luke Littler having now made the final, this has led to darts fans asking – who the youngest previous PDC winners are?
If Littler can win the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship he’ll be catapulted straight to the top to the list of youngest players to win a major PDC tournament.
Littler, who is still only 16, would have smashed the current youngest record that Dutch player Michael van Gerwen holds when he was 24 years-old when he beat Peter Wright in the 2014 final.
Gerwen also won the World Grand Prix in 2012 aged 23, so he holds the youngest record for both any PDC event and the World Championships.
The good news for Littler is that if he does lose the 2024 final against 3rd seed Luke Humphries, he’ll still have around 6 years to still become the youngest PDC World Darts Champion.
Ahead of the final, the best UK betting sites make Luke Littler, who was 300/1 at the start, the slight second favourite at 5/4, with Luke Humphries 8/13. You can also keep up-to-date with the action with the best darts live streaming sites.

It’s A ‘Luke-Off ‘ As Littler Will Face Third Seed Humphries In The PDC Darts World Championship Final
It’s the battle of the Luke’s in the PDC Darts World Final, but who will ‘have the force’?
Luke Littler’s bid to cement his name in the darts history books will rely on him beating the third seed and the new world number one Luke Humphries, who saw off Scott Williams 6-0 in his semi-final.
The pair have never played before in a professional event – but have met in a Hayling Island local pub comp many years ago when Littler was even younger (see below)
Lost out in quarterfinals last night at Hayling Island comp to @lukeh180 missed a few chances to go ahead and a bull for a 164 but gave him a great game 🎯 2 Youth comps today Under 14’s and Under 18’s hopefully make tomorrow’s finals on stage @bucker1980 @lisa_littler pic.twitter.com/hTb4Cj0vuW

However, with Littler’s three-dart tournament average at 101.82 this stat gives him the edge on the Humphries average of 99.33.
The winner will get a cheque for £500k and the runner-up £200k, but with Littler being just 16 years-old there are reports he can’t be presented the trophy on stage, with bookmaker Paddy Power being the sponsors and having to tone done celebrations.
Win, lose or draw, though you feel that Luke Littler will be hot property after what he’s done at this year’s PDC Darts World Championships, with the Luke Littler net worth in the coming years set to hit the bullseye.

In addition to the prize money, kebab lover Littler has also been promised life-long meals at a leading resturant Kebhouze if he can go all the way and lift the Sid Waddell Trophy.
