The full schedule for next season has been confirmed, and we are just 57 days away from the madness to resume once more. While fans are eager to learn the fate of their early season fixtures, the festive period has also proven a popular talking point and the congested schedule can make or break one’s campaign. With that in mind, we are running you through the 2023/24 Premier League Boxing Day fixtures.
Boxing Day is one of the most highly anticipated dates on the calendar, with it being one of the few times across the season that sees each of the 20 teams competing on the same day.
Match-going fans enjoy the tradition of nursing their Christmas hangovers with a trip to see their side in action, but the festive period is a hectic, chaotic and unrelenting period for players, who will feature across three games in under two weeks around the holiday.
However, the Premier League have reinstated the mid-season break – a long-established tradition across European leagues – in order to relieve the strain and quell the wide-spread criticism of the English football schedule.
The break follows the festive period, taking place between January 12th – 20th.

Before the winter’s vice-like grip takes over once more, fans will bask in the late summer sunshine as the season kicks off on August 11th, with Vincent Kompany hosting his old club Manchester City at Burnley’s Turf Moor.
Manchester United will feature in their seventh consecutive opening fixture on home soil; the longest run since Arsenal’s seven-season streak in 2012-13.
On the contrary, Aston Villa haven’t started a Premier League game at Villa Park since 2010, starting nine away from home within that time.
