West Ham are reportedly keen on signing Fulham midfielder, Joao Palhinha, as club captain Declan Rice looks set to leave the Hammers this summer.
David Moyes’ side are on the cusp of European glory, as they face Fiorentina in the eagerly-anticipated Europa Conference League final.
The Hammers earned their place with a superb two-legged display against AZ Alkmaar, winning 3-1 on aggregate. This performance leaves the Irons in a perfect position to win a European trophy for the first time in the club’s history.
However, the side from east London have failed to impress in the Premier League, as they sit 15th in the Premier League. The Scotsman was rumoured to be sacked earlier in the campaign after his side dropped into the relegation zone.
Club captain and West Ham academy graduate, Declan Rice is set to leave the club this summer and Fulham star, Joao Palhinha, is reportedly the Hammers’ primary target.

The Portuguese international has been superb in his opening Premier League season and has caught the attention of Europe’s elite clubs.
Making 34 appearances in the league so far, the 27-year-old has been a key member of Marco Silva’s side, that are set for their highest Premier League finish since 2008.
A move to West Ham could be difficult as the former Sporting Lisbon midfielder signed a five-year deal when signing for Fulham last summer. Meaning his contract will run until 2027 and could potentially cost the Hammers over £50m.
Joao Palhinha is not the only target on West Ham’s shortlist, as James Ward-Prowse and Scott McTominay have all been linked with a move to the London Staidum.
