Wayne Rooney has landed a new job with TNT this month, as the Manchester United legend will turn pundit for a Premier League match between two of his former sides.

Wayne Rooney Lands New Job

Birmingham City parted ways with manager Wayne Rooney at the beginning of this year, but the Manchester United legend has already landed a new role as a pundit for TNT Sports.

Rooney is set to appear on a punditry team for TNT next week, as two of his former sides go head to head at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Everton and Manchester United are both struggling in the league for results and their matchup next weekend could be a closer one than it seems on paper.

The Toffees were handed four points back following their deduction appeal, which means Sean Dyche’s side no longer face such a stiff test in trying to stay up this year.

Manchester United on the other hand have had no luck in recent weeks with their Premier League results, with back to back losses dropping the Red Devils six points behind Tottenham who have a game in hand over their rivals.

Despite earning a role on TNT as a pundit later this month, Rooney has said that a career in management is his number one priority.

Wayne Rooney Boxing Career

Recent rumours suggest that Wayne Rooney is looking into a potential boxing career, after the former Everton and United star contacted Eddie Hearn looking to organise an exhibition bout.

KSI revealed on a recent podcast that Rooney messaged him at the beginning of his career – asking for a one off fight against the then up and coming YouTube boxing star.

Rooney has been adamant through all the rumours that his focus remains firmly on a return to management and his latest venture into punditry shouldn’t change that.

The former England captain has appeared as a pundit several times before in the past for both FA Cup and Premier League matches.
