After months of being heavily linked with a move away from Italy, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that Victor Osimhen will remain with the Serie A champions next season.
Despite being heavily linked to the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and many more, Victor Osimhen will remain with Napoli next season.
This has now been confirmed by club president Aurelio De Laurentiis after Osimhen hinted that he would remain with the Serie A champions last week.
Having scored 31 goals in 39 matches for Napoli last term, the Nigerian dealt a blow to those targeting him by indicating he would remain in Naples in an interview with Soccernet.
“I’m so proud that I am actually a Scudetto winner, for me, it’s a huge one. Whatsoever honour that comes after this, I will welcome it.” he said.
“And I am really working hard to make sure, and now I am addicted to trophies because now the Scudetto is my first trophy as a pro.
“Now I’m addicted, and I can’t wait for the new season to come. There’s no better place to be than this place. I am so happy I made the right choice by coming here.
“And achieving this kind of greatness with the Neapolitans is something that I will wake up and always smile about.
“My children’s children will come into this world and realise that their father has done something amazing.”

And now, Europe’s elite will have to turn their attentions for a striker elsewhere after De Laurentiis told the media that Osimhen will wear the iconic Napoli colours once again next season.
“We will see Victor Osimhen wearing our shirt next season, that’s for sure.” De Laurentiis revealed.
“Then if a ‘more than indecent proposal arrives, we will move on and find another top talent as we did with [Khvicha] Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen.”
