Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen has returned to training ahead of their second-leg Champions League quarter-final tie against Milan after missing out on last week’s first-leg due to injury.

Serie A top scorer Victor Osimhen has returned to Napoli training ahead of their crunch Champions League tie against Milan on Tuesday.

The Nigerian missed out on the first-leg due to an adductor injury suffered on international duty.

However, the forward has now recovered from the setback and looks set to start for the Gli Azzurri as they look to overturn a 1-0 deficit at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

It comes as a major boost to Napoli, who looked a shade of their former selves in the defeat at the San Siro.

He featured for 17 minutes for the Serie A leaders in their last match. Having not made an appearance since the internationals, the Nigerian replaced Giacomo Raspadori as his side played out a goalless draw against Hellas Verona.

Osimhen’s prowess in front of goal has seen him bag 25 goals in all competitions this term, a return that has seen him linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The 24-year-old has been linked with moves to Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and many more, but has insisted that he’s happy at Napoli.

Speaking to the media recently, Osimhen opened up on his future.

“We are close to the objective and cannot wait to make our dream come true, to make it a reality,” Osimhen said.

“The players always believed, we always thought we could do something exceptional, even when nobody else believed we could. The affection from the city is extraordinary, I have never received so much love. I cannot wait to celebrate with them at the stadium.

“I’m at a great club and my career is growing constantly,

“I am already at one of the biggest clubs and I could not ask for more. Forza Napoli always!”
