According to a report, Serie A side Inter Milan are believed to be willing to part ways with Argentinian forward Lautaro Martinez this summer.

The news comes amid a reported interest from Manchester United as they look to add a new striker to their playing squad.

Football Insider claim that the Red Devils’ interest comes as they search for back-up if they fail in their efforts to sign Harry Kane.

It is reported that Martinez’ potential transfer fee will be somewhere in the region of £70million.

This has raised interest throughout Europe’s top leagues with several clubs now said to be alerted to the 25-year-old’s availability.

United however, have made it clear that their main priority is Spurs forward Kane.

As previously reported, this could cost United up to £100million, so they may be priced out of a move.

Martinez, who is now a World Cup winner, has made 47 appearances for Inter in all competitions this term.

In those appearances, he has scored 21 times and has assisted eight goals.

He was also on the scoresheet in the second-leg of Inter’s Champions League quarter-final tie.

His goal inspires his side to reach the semi-final – where they’ll face city rivals AC Milan.

Martinez is also a full fledged Argentinian international, and earned a World Cup medal in Qatar.

The forward featured in six out of the seven matches on their road to the trophy, and has amassed 48 appearances for the national team – scoring 21 goals in the process.
