Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing out-of-favour Chelsea star, Romelu Lukaku, following Harry Kane’s recent agreement with Bayern Munich.

Spurs are on the hunt for a new striker following the latest news over Harry Kane. The England international has agreed terms with the German side and is on his way to Munich to complete a medical.

The clubs agreed a fee yesterday afternoon, as Bayern submitted a £94.6m bid after Spurs rejected the Bundesliga champions’ opening two offers.

Spurs’ season starts tomorrow afternoon, as they travel to Brentford and will now be without their leading marksman – which has made an additional striker a must.

The side from north London are reportedly acting swiftly and have lined up a move for Chelsea striker, Romelu Lukaku.

The former Manchester United striker has established himself as one of Europe’s most lethal strikers, scoring 121 goals in 278 Premier League appearances.

His time in England, for both Chelsea and Manchester United, caught the eye of Inter Milan and the Belgian has had a mixed impact over recent seasons – contributing to 75 goals in 97 Serie A matches.

Despite an impressive goal-tally, the 30-year-old has faced a huge amount of scrutiny over the last few years. After being loaned back to the Serie A side, after a disappointing second-spell at Chelsea.

Following these poor performances, Lukaku returned to Inter for the 2022-23 campaign, in a loan move that failed to re-ignite his career. The Italian giants reached the Champions League final, losing 1-0 to treble winners, Manchester City and the Belgian made the headlines for blocking his own teammate’s goal-bound effort.

His future has been surrounded in doubt and Chelsea unwilling to loan Lukaku out again, instead asking for around £60m. However, with the season commencing this weekend, the Blues are reportedly now considering loan moves.
